Govt Central Model School Samanabad, Lahore

In 1963, Governor General Malik Ameer Muhammad Khan (West Pakistan) announced to build Schools i.e. Govt. Central Model School Samanabad Lahore, Govt. Central Model School for Girls Gulberg and Govt. Central Model School Mianawali. These schools were built on the pattern of Govt. Central Model School Lower Mall Lahore and classes were started in 1966. This school consists of 66 Kanals but 10 Kanals out of 66 Kanals were allotted to Govt. Model Girls High School Samanabad Lahore. Since then, this school has a great history in the field of education, sports and different activities. More than 25000 students are on the alumni list of the institution and are serving the country in different capacities. Role of honour includes Tahir Rafique Butt (R. Chief of Air Staff), Wasim Siddique (Major General DG National Guards), Shahid Hashmat (R. Major General), Tahir Naqqash (Former Test Cricketer), Abdul Rauf (Columnist Daily Jang) and many more. The school has recently been declared as Center of Excellence on 08 June 2016 under umbrella of Punjab Daanish Schools & Centers of Excellence Authority.      

Currently the school has 44 x class rooms, 1 x library, 3 x science laboratories, 1 x IT lab, one big play ground and one examination hall.  The school staff consist of 104 (83 Teaching Staff and 21 non teaching staff) and currently students strength is 2356 having five Academic Levels from Grade-6 to Grade-10.

PEC and Board exams results in previous years were not very encouraging. Last year PEC result was 58% whereas this year the result of PEC is 91 %. During 2014 & 2015 the Board results of class 9th were 25% & 33% whereas for class 10th was 76% & 79% respectively.
