Govt Comprehensive Girls High School, Wahdar Road, Lahore

Govt. Comprehensive High School for Girls was established as a residential school in 1968 as a model institution from 6th to 10th grades for teaching and coaching the talented female students of Lahore Division. The School Comprises of 95 Kanals and 7 marlas of area, out of which covered area is 16 Kanals and uncovered area is 79 Kanals. The performance of school in co and extracurricular activities has been remarkable with school bagging maximum top positions at the district and division levels. The school has recently been declared as Center of Excellence on 08 June 2016 under umbrella of Punjab Daanish Schools & Centers of Excellence Authority.      

Currently the school has 40 x class rooms, 7 x Laboratories and 27 x washrooms, one hall and beautiful well maintained grassy plots. The school staff consist of 88 (72 Teaching Staff and 16 non teaching staff) and currently students strength is 2221 having five Academic Levels from Grade-6 to Grade-10.

PEC and Board exams results in previous years were quite encouraging. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 PEC results were 95%, 96% and 97% respectively.  The aggregate results of BISE during the years 2013, 2014 and 2015 were 92.95%, 90.14% and 92.98 % respectively. Students bagged top positions in PEC Examination during past several years.  One student secured 2nd position in Arts Group in 2009 in S.S. Examination, BISE, Lahore and another won Rs 75,000/- from district management while securing second position in Naat competition in the same year.
