Govt High School Tajpura Scheme, Lahore

In 2009 Government of Punjab Education Department established the school allocating the area of 25 kanals in Tajpura Scheme Lahore Cantt. The school consists of two blocks named Quaid-e-Azam (old block) and Allama Iqbal block (new block). The efforts to acquire land and construction of the old block of this school was purely made by Malik Shokat Ali (Nazim of UC 57) and his team. In 2012, a new building (Allama Iqbal block) was constructed at the cost of Rs. 50 million.  The school has recently been declared as Center of Excellence on 08 June 2016 under umbrella of Punjab Daanish Schools & Centers of Excellence Authority.      

Currently the school has 32 x class rooms, 4 x labs and 2 x stores. The school staff consist of 63 (57 teaching staff and 6 non teaching staff) and currently students strength is 3253 having eleven academic levels from Nursery to Grade-10.

PEC and Board exams results in previous years were not very encouraging. Last year PEC result was 66% whereas this year the result of PEC is 99 %. During 2014 & 2015 the Board results of class 9th were 25% & 36.27% whereas for class 10th was 72% & 74% respectively.
