Lahore (PR). Applications can be submitted for admission in Class 6th in Punjab Daanish Schools for Boys and Girls from all over Punjab till 20 Dec 2019, while the admission test will be conducted on, Sunday 29th December 2019. The eligibility criteria for admission is as follows: Total income of parents must not exceed Rs. 15,000/-. He/She is an orphan having lost both of his/her parents and having no guardian or being taken care of by an elder sibling or a member of the extended family. He/She is orphan and living with his/her mother. His/Her both parents are illiterate; the parents do not own any immovable property and either of them is disabled. He/She has been a school dropout. His/Her parents do not have any fixed job or source of income. He/She is not a resident of a town, Tehsil or District headquarters and neither of his/her parents is a semi-skilled or unskilled menial village worker. He/She is resident of a town Tehsil or District Headquarter and his/her household resides in a Katcha house.
For admission in Class 6th the age bracket is for boys 10-12 years by 31st March of the year of admission and 10-13 for girls. 10% seats are kept for Self Finance students. Apart from the deserving seats reserved from Punjab quota is allocated for KPK including FATA, Balochistan, Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan & AJK. Admission form can be downloaded from the Authority website: www.daanishschools.edu.pk and is also available with the relevant offices of District Education Officers all Daanish Schools situated in Chishtian, Hasilpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur D.G Khan, Mianwali, Attock & Mailsi-Vehari and Centres of Excellence.
Admissions are based only on merit. After assessing the application, a written test is held, Applicants falling within merit are shortlisted for Antecedent Verification to the District Office, on receipt of the verification, a new merit list is forwarded for Medical Test. On receiving results the merit list is forwarded and students called.
