Future Development Plans / Uplifts

In pursuance of Chief Minister’s objective of establishing one boys and girls boarding schools and Centers of Excellence in each district of Punjab, following schools have so far been approved. However, budget for only the school at Vehari has been released. The construction work is underway these two schools will be operational by 2017. Rest of the schools will be constructed on the availability of funds:-

Inter Daanish Efficiency Trophy      

From the year 2015 onwards “Inter Daanish Efficiency Trophy” has been introduced by PDS & CEA. In order to ensure wholesome and all encompassing endeavors have been made to include the important areas of development. Efficiency trophy to the best school will be awarded on the following basis:

Administrative Measures

Endeavors to institutionalize the culture prevalent in cadet colleges are underway, accordingly, following measures have been taken:

Mess Culture

In order to provide wholesome training in line with contemporary practices, Daanish students are being equipped with such skills. One of the very important skills is messing etiquettes and habits. In an endeavor to initiate this all Daanish Schools have been provided with proper crockery and cutlery. The teachers have been imparted training in this regard, who in turn are educating the students in all aspects of mess culture.

Security System

After the tragic incident of “2014 Peshawar massacre” the Prime Minister ordered to strengthen the security of all the Schools to the finest extent. Keeping in view, PDS & CEA have upgraded the existing security system by installing security cameras, LED lights, barriers and IP based monitoring system. Moreover, twelve weapons for each campus have been purchased and provided to newly inducted ex service men as security guards. In order to enhance the students and staff capability to react to any untoward accidents, alarm schemes and alert exercises have been conducted and rehearsed. Local police has also been coopted for emergency response.


To keep up with the requirements of the modern schooling system, good quality uniforms and sportswear have been introduced for the students. In the next phase uniform will also be introduced for staff of the school.


Punjab Daanish Schools & Centers of Excellence Authority (PDS & CEA) has so far established 14 Daanish Schools at various locations of Punjab with the total strength of 6681 students. These students live in a very regulated environment. Study tours and recreational trips play a significant role in broadening their vision as well in improving their faculties. Therefore, in order to facilitate safe, economic and regulated travelling each school has been provided with 63 seater bus. The schools have been asked to plan outdoor educational and recreational trips. 

Social Awareness Programs

To make the students effective member of the society and to instill humility they tasked to engage in different social work activities, during summer vacations. Aim is to involve / participate in social work with a view to enhance confidence and promote Daanish image in the local communities. Some of such activities are personal hygiene, street cleanliness, drive, helping the poor students academically through tuitions, attending to the old and sick, awareness campaign about Daanish vision and culture, Hazards of smoking and other addictions, tree plantation, Dengue prevention, child labour, importance of prayers.

Student Committees / Clubs

To develop sense of responsibilities and leading / improvement skills, different committees and clubs have been institutionalized in every school. Committee such as mess and cafeteria, sports, literary club, drama, science, photography, debating club, environmental and social awareness club, arts club, committee community services have been made. It is ensured through the Principal that all the students on the basis of their aptitude must participate in and share the relevant responsibilities. Activities of all committees are recorded; students from different houses can take part in one committee. All students are included in this activity at par.

Extra-curricular Activities

Daanish being residential campuses are bound to develop students’ personalities holistically. The annual academic plan is fully packed with all sorts extracurricular activities like speech and debate contest, art competition. Singing, Quran and Naat recitation, essay writing, sports competition.
Taekwondo and Judo Karatey and visits to historic and recreational places. Besides its own plan programs organized by the government, prominent organizations and Schools are also met on merit. A few to mention include following participation at National, Provincial and District level:
